Underground Utilities Continue on Neva Avenue

This past week the contractor performed some miscellaneous utility work along the project site including replacing existing manhole frames. The contractor also installed the new storm sewer along Neva Avenue through the Colfax Avenue intersection and continued installing storm sewer south of Colfax Ave along Neva Avenue.
Next week the contractor will  continue to install storm sewer mainline, storm sewer services, and water services along Neva Avenue south of Colfax Avenue.
During water service installation and connection to the existing service, water to individual homes will be shut off for a short period of time. The contractor will knock on the door of any home that will not have water prior to turning it off.
The underground utility work along Nora Avenue is now complete. Work along Nora Avenue will not commence again until the work on Neva Avenue is completed. The Village is committed to ensure the stone trenches are properly maintained until the road reconstruction work begins.
Thank you for your patience during the construction operations.
